Panavision DXL2 with Ultra Panavision glass 65mm: A water droplet faling from the top of a cave through a shaft of volumetric light in a cave opening, the droplet positioned where it catches maximum luminosity, glowing from within. Apparition in Steel Blue

RED Komodo with Canon FD 200mm f/2.8 vintage telephoto: A solitary large tree standing in a flat grass field, engulfed in dense pre-dawn fog. Shot from far away so the telephoto stacks the fog into near-opaque planes of blue-gray. The tree is barely a dark suggestion — you can sense its size and shape but cannot see a single branch. Ground and sky have dissolved into each other. Almost monochromatic, shifting from dove gray to steel blue

Tintype Vortex

Chamonix 4x5 large format camera with Dallmeyer 3B Petzval lens, actual wet plate collodion process: The pinboard shot as a one-of-a-kind tintype — hand-poured silver emulsion on a black aluminum plate. The Petzval's signature rendering holds the center of the board in ethereal, creamy sharpness while the edges spiral into swirling, concentric bokeh that pulls the pinned items into a slow vortex. The collodion chemistry shifts all colour to monochrome silver and deep black, but with that unmistakable wet plate quality — chemical runs frozen at the plate's edges where the emulsion was poured unevenly, dark voids where it didn't coat, a faint iridescent sheen.
